By its nature, our work is
a collaboration , a partnership, a living,
breathing relationship. This is especially true in the case of the various
collaborators with whom we do our work. Several of these deserve special
mention.
St. Joseph
's Hospital
The Department of
Psychiatry
at
St. Joseph 's
Hospital continues - as it has for nearly ten years, now - to provide a
full-time on-site Mental Health Clinic at
1 Hudson Street .
Two psychiatric social workers, a mental health case manager, a clinical
psychologist and a part-time psychiatrist offer psychiatric assessment and
treatment to guests in all our programs as well as others who simply walk
in.
Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health
Center
Operates a satellite health clinic at The Sharing Community’s main site at
1 Hudson Street .
Southwest Yonkers is a
federally designated medically underserved area, and this unique resource –
a health clinic outside a traditional healthcare setting – will be a
valuable addition for our community.
Yonkers
O.W.N.
Our job training project
operates closely with the other participants of Yonkers O.W.N. (One-stop
Workforce Network) –
Westhab , the Department of Labor, and the
Yonkers Chamber of Commerce – to provide not only contextualized skills
training, but job readiness and employment. Weaving together each
organization’s expertise into a seamless network, enables us to offer
homeless individuals on public assistance an effective way into the
workforce.
